Howdy KWE families!

 

Your Hospitality Committee (formerly Welcoming Committee) has been hard at work pulling something together to celebrate our CHS Class of 2020 Seniors. They missed out on prom, project graduation, Spring Fling, and so much more. The HC wanted to acknowledge our graduating CHS Class of 2020 and has organized (and approved in last Monday's BOD meeting) a KWE Parade to honor them. Here are the details: • The Class of 2020 parade will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, at 7 p.m. • The parade route will start at the mailboxes and slowly go progress down Kendall Woods, turning on Kendall View Drive to circle back up and stopping at the culdesac in front of the Donowho's home. (The culdesac of Kendall Woods and Kendall View.) • Each Senior will be decorating their own vehicle - preferably a pickup truck so we can see them standing in the back in their cap and gown. BUT each family will have safety first and make the best decision for their Senior. • We are asking all the neighbors to come to these roads to celebrate. Y'all may park or bring chairs to sit along Kendall Woods - practicing social distancing. • We are also asking each neighbor to prepare and/or buy the Seniors a small gift of appreciation. It doesn't have to be much! Cookies, gift cards, candy, homemade cards – something to show they are loved by our community. Items should please be cleaned ahead of time. • There are 8 seniors: Layne, Liam, Lauren, Lucas, Aiden, Aaron, Caleb, and Ellie. • At the beginning of the parade, the Seniors will receive a gift from the HOA. We cannot disclose what it is at this time, but it can be used to hold the items neighbors may give them. With this item, there will not be a need for touching of hands. • At the end of the parade, the Seniors can opt to have a quick picture taken in their cap and gown. • The parade will have an "escort" so please know there will be sirens!
